If The Art Monastery Project inspires you,
then we invite you to get involved in any of the following ways-
of Gli Amici dell'Art Monastery (The Friends of the Art Monastery). This is the easiest way to get involved and make a difference. It costs nothing to join but truly helps us in establishing our organization. It also allows us to stay in contact with you as the project evolves... since The Art Monastery Project includes a great many more people than are actually living in a convent in Italy. We invite your creative ideas and suggestions.

to the Art Monastery in the form of a financial contribution or material (office
equipment, furniture, art, etc.). This is a powerful way to turn the dream into reality.
Donations can be made through Paypal (sent to donations [at] Art Monastery[dot] com
or click the button above). For tax-deductible donations, please donate through our
fiscal sponsor, Fractured Atlas. If you have materials you would like to donate,
please look at our Wish List and send us an email.
Work in the Garden
or in the convent, an act that can be as rewarding for yourself as it is for us. We will
create a number of positions along the lines of WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on
Organic Farms), ie. 6 hours of work a day in exchange for room and board at the
convent) that will provide a life-changing experience as well as a visible impact on the
life of the Art Monastery.
Come as an Artist or Scholar
to work on a relevant piece that would benefit being created at the Art Monastery.
This is not only a uniquely supportive environment in which to work, but also
contributes to the life of the community. Although the details of our artist residency
program are yet to be worked out, in the first year(s) it is more likely to be open to those
who can either work part-time for the convent or pay for their own food & utilities (not
expensive). We welcome proposals, especially those relating to the mission of Art
Monastery.

Join the Staff
as a volunteer collaborator from anywhere but especially people in the fundraising
field, including grant-writers. Beginning in May 2008 we will be looking for a few
staff members to move in to the convent, including a chef de cuisine and a few
gardeners. In the future there will be more openings.
Please contact us and we are happy to discuss the shape of your involvement!
