Making the offering to the public: Artmonk Retreat Concert

It turns out that if you have a bunch of great musicians sit together in contemplation for eight days — silent save fifteen minutes of Gregorian chant in the morning and another fifteen in the evening — and then ask them to perform a concert on the eighth day, magical things happen.

In the Diego Rivera Gallery of San Francisco Art Institute, we did just that. Gregorian chant, choral numbers, and experimental instrumental improvisations came together in a touching and beautiful concert.

Recordings and video coming soon to the portfolio!
