Ropes, Boxes and Bruises
Allow me to introduce myself- I am Kaitlin June, a summer artmonk and laboratory participant from North Carolina. I am one of two performers for the show we are creating this summer.
Weeks one and two of the creation and rehearsal process have been full of rope,
and tons of funny mystery bruises I discover afterwards
(that I didn’t photograph).
If you had told me a year ago that this is where I would be this summer, I don’t know if I would have believed you. It would have sounded too good to be true. Yet here I am, diving in to the creative process with a group of incredibly talented artists on a beautiful piece of land, living the artmonk way:
It feels so good to integrate my love for movement, music and spirituality. Though I may get a little banged up in the process, it is TOTALLY worth it. More pics and fun stuff coming soon stay tuned! For now, time for another round of Arnica. 🙂
